Cudweed's Time Machine by Marcus Sedgwick

Cudweed's Time Machine - Early Reader

Early Readers are stepping stones from picture books to reading books. A blue Early Reader is perfect for sharing and reading together. A red Early Reader is the next step on your reading journey. Cudweed comes face to face with Roman soldiers, dinosaurs and Vikings in this funny, quirky story, perfect for beginner readers, from the bestselling Raven Mysteries team, Marcus Sedgwick and Pete Williamson.

This is the story of the ODD and STRANGE things that happen when Cudweed discovers a time machine.
Cudweed is about to trael where no man has gone before - to TEA TIME. But time travel turns out to be more tricky that he'd first thought .......

Another fantastic book from Orion Children's Books Early Reader series. This one I believe would be a great book to encourage boys to pick up a book. Based upon time travel, a young boys imagination and the determination of a young boy to let nothing stand in his way of his tea!

The story is broken down into manageable chunks with great illustrations by Pete Williamson, an illustrator who has a fantastic imagination and ability to catch mischief and mayhem within his illustrations.

I recommend this book, and the entire Early Reader collection from Orion, to children who are beginning to gain confidence in their own ability to read alone. It would make a great addition to any primary school library.

Thank you to the publisher, Orion Children's Books, for sending me the book to review.
