Emily Parker is set to have the worst Christmas ever!
Her flatmate's moved out, she's closed her heart to love and she's been put in charge of the school original Christmas show – with zero musical ability.
Disgraced superstar, Ray Stone is in desperate need of a quick PR turnaround. Waking up from a drunken stupor to a class of ten-year-olds snapping pics and Emily looking at him was not what he had in mind.
Ray needs Emily's help to delete the photos, and she needs his with the show. As they learn to work together they may just open their hearts to more than a second chance...
Mandy Baggot is a brilliant author and I look forward to each release. 'One Christmas Star' is Mandy's 2019 festive title and it was well worth the wait.
With Mandy's summer titles we are often transported to warmer climbs however in 'One Christmas Star' we are welcomed into an English school and into the preparations for their annual Christmas show. It reminds me, in part, to The Nativity film, however the storyline goes much deeper than this with a darker storyline underflowing featuring domestic violence, however this does not detract from the fun and festive storyline throughout.
I really enjoyed the school pupils being a strong part of the cast, their conversations and thoughts all added humour and lightheartedness to the story and had me smiling throughout.
Thank you to Aria Books for inviting me to take part in the blog tour and for a copy of the book in return for an honest review.
